Net Zero 2050
Our Commitment to Net Zero by 2050
At Kerensa, we are committed to playing our part in tackling the global climate crisis. We recognise the urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to a more sustainable future. That’s why we are proud to commit to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050.
What Net Zero Means to Us
Net Zero means that we will reduce our greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible, and balance any remaining emissions by removing an equivalent amount from the atmosphere. This commitment spans our entire organisation — including our operations, supply chain, and services.
Our Approach
To meet this goal, we are taking the following steps:
Measuring Our Impact: We are working to rigorously measure our carbon footprint across all scopes — direct (Scope 1), indirect energy (Scope 2), and wider value chain emissions (Scope 3).
Reducing Emissions: We are prioritising emissions reductions through smarter energy use, renewable energy sourcing, low-carbon technologies, and sustainable procurement.
Engaging Our Partners: We will work closely with our suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to support a just and inclusive transition to a low-carbon economy.
Investing in Innovation: We are exploring carbon-saving technologies and circular economy practices that improve outcomes for both people and planet.
Transparency and Accountability: We are committed to tracking our progress and will publish regular updates on our carbon reduction journey.
Short-Term Targets
While 2050 is our ultimate goal, we will set and work toward clear interim milestones, including:
A measurable reduction in emissions by 2030
Transitioning to 100% renewable electricity across our operations by 2040
Achieving net zero across our own operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 2045.
A Collective Effort
Achieving Net Zero is a shared responsibility. At Kerensa, we are committed to doing our part — not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because we believe a healthy environment is essential to the wellbeing of the people and communities we serve.
Together, we can build a more sustainable, equitable future.
