About the Role

We are looking for Therapeutic Support Workers to support a young lady based in Dobwalls, near Liskeard.

We require Therapeutic Support Workers for a young lady with a great sense of humour, who loves animals, enjoys theme parks, zoos and aquariums, swimming, and spending time outdoors. She loves Disney and has a talent for recreating Disney scenes or from old videos such as Sooty and Sweep, The Tweenies and many more. She loves the company of those who are important to her, and she can trust – loves the family animals and seeing family members.

If you’re embarrassed about playing Lego on the floor, singing and talking about Disney and don’t want to swim or help with her animals – then this is not the place for you!

You must have a desire and will, to explore the world through Disney, have a zest for life, and enjoy adrenaline fuelled activities, such as roller coasters and walks in the rain!

This young lady has Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) which is a profile on the autistic spectrum. This is not a 9-5 job and sometimes can be challenging but it is intensely rewarding and enjoyable. Full time, including evenings and weekends. Overtime available.

Note: This support requires experienced care workers in behaviours that challenge and/or physically challenging behaviour. Skill set, resilience and physical challenges, i.e behaviour that challenges physical aggression, Support Workers may be required to perform RPI -Restrictive Physical Intervention as a last resort to keep themselves and others safe.

Drivers are essential as this lady has a minibus to get her where she wants to go.

The work you do is deeply meaningful, it makes a real difference having such a positive impact on someone else’s life.

Enhanced Complex Care Pay Rate - £13.40 per hour

  • Providing personal, emotional, and practical support

  • Working closely with families and professionals

What We’re Looking For

  • A kind, empathetic, and patient approach

  • Ability to work flexibly (including weekends or evenings)

  • Great communication skills

  • A willingness to learn—no experience required!

  • A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
